Mission: Season 1, Episode 3: Trespassing
Location: Klingon Shipyard
Timeline: Stardate 1538.3

The shipyard was a massive facility, ships coming and going. It would take a miracle for Tigerfish not to be detected by the facility.

In a deserted corridor near to where the ship had detected the probe, the shimmering of a federation transporter beam filled the room. The Four Officers of the Landing Party materialized, phasers in hand, Zuberg and McEntyre with tricorders in hand.

As the beam dissipated, J.T scans the room, taking a step forward before looking back at Lieutenant Crenshaw.

"Any signs that they detected our beam in?" He asked softly, not to arouse suspicion if anyone were to hear them.

Daphne readied her phaser. She saw J.T. was already scanning with the tricorder. She looked around the corridor with a practiced eye and then slipped past her captain, pressed close to the wall, and slowly, carefully peaked around the corner. Then she slipped quietly back. She had seen nothing out of place. No sign of a response. She spoke in a whisper, "No sign, sir, but that doesn't necessarily mean they haven't."

"Or that they won't any second," Alice added, her own tricorder in one hand, sidearm set to stun in the other. Her medkit was strapped around her neck and shoulder, all the easier to get to it if -- when -- things went sideways.

"Right, let's move. Ms. Ichiose, point us to the probe please." J.T said softly ready for action.

"Well, provided I'm reading things correctly..." Shiki muttered as she studied the readings on her tricorder. "It looks as if the probe should be approximately..." she raised an arm just off to her right, and slightly down. "...that way, more-or-less."

"Let's proceed with caution, sir," Daphne suggested. "Hug the walls, stay low."

J.T nods, gesturing to the team to move out.

[USS Tigerfish]

Back on the Tigerfish, Ben sat at the console, listening carefully. Around him, the ship hummed with the sounds of Engineering doing whatever repairs they could, and Ops doing what they did, and so on. He was prepping to send help if things went south.

Kas had taken the opportunity in the lull to get a change of uniform, and was passing out refreshing caffeine to the Bridge personnel. Mexi accepted hers gratefully and began taking little, delicate sips.

In truth the waiting was killing both of them. They both knew they could have piloted a shuttle over. The risk of detecting the beam-in energy of a transporter was great, and that could have been mitigated by skillful piloting.

As Kas re-took his seat, they both shared a look, Mexi pursing her lips. They could do nothing but wait.

"Continue on course, people. We're all nervous," Ben said, aloud, to the others on the Bridge. As XO, his job was to be the leader right now. He could panic later. He thought a moment about how funny it'd be if his ex-wife were around; she'd spent years telling him he was too much of a stick in the mud.

[Klingon Shipyard]

"I don't like this," Alice said quietly. "Why hasn't there been any opposition yet?"

"Two possibilities," Daphne said. "They actively haven't detected us or they're lying in wait."

"Both are equally bad. Watch your sectors, keep your heads on a swivel. Let's not let these Klingon Bastards get the jump on us." J.T commented, his phaser aimed down range as the team moved as quickly and stealthly as they could towards the location of the probe.

The team comes to a 4 way hall, any direction could be their route.

"Ms. Ichiose?" J.T asked their science officer.

Shiki stole another glance at the tricorder.

"Straight ahead, but a little bit to the right," she replied, glancing over at J.T. "Pick your poison."

“Then we head right” J.T nods, gesturing towards the right as he lead the team down the corridor towards hopefully where the probe was being held. They had managed to avoid Klingons thus far but in the back of his mind, J.T was waiting for the other shoe to drop. It always did.

From the corner of his eye, JT suddenly observed a pair of shadows looming on the far wall, along with some incoherent dialect- likely Klingon, if he had to guess.

J.T lifted his hand to tell the party to stop silently. Raising his phaser as he motioned for the team to hug the wall, hoping to hide as the shadows got closer to them. Klingons, most likely from the low voices he heard.

Daphne pressed low against the wall, aiming her phaser slowly. She was completely silent.

With bated breath, the away team watched as the shadows grew smaller on the wall, their shapes growing more defined as their voices grew louder and their heavy footsteps drew closer. Then, from around the corner, they loomed into view; two surly Klingon Officers, their hands never moving more than a foot away from the daggers that dangled from their belts. They appeared to be in a conversation of some sorts, which was just the distraction that JT and his team needed to get the leg up on them.

Alice let her tricorder hang by the strap and had two hands on her phaser, ready to fire if JT gave the order.

J.T kept himself crouched, raising his phaser as he motioned for Daphne to do the same, aiming at one while he motioned for her to aim at the other. Taking a deep breath, he fired, blue phaser energy lashing out striking the first Klingon.

Daphne set her phaser to high stun. She took careful aim at the other Klingon even as he spun to see his comrade go down. Her phaser blast struck him directly in the chest.

The CMO got to them fast. A quick check showed that they were unconscious but alive. “There was a door behind us,” she observed quietly to her teammates. “Tricorder said it was a supply closet.”

J.T nods silently, moving to pick up one of the klingons, motioning to Daphne to pick up the other. "We'll hide them there. Can't leave any traces. It'll be a few hours before they come too. Hopefully, we'll be out of here by then."

It took a few moments but he managed to wedge one into the closet and waited for Daphne to do the same.

She did, though it took her a moment longer. Despite her security specialty, she was not quite as large or muscular as her captain.

"We've taken too much time already, let's double time it. Ms. Ichiose, lead the way, if you please." J.T picks up his phaser again, ready to finish the mission.

"Can do," Shiki nodded as she led the quartet in the general direction that her tricorder was pointing.
